Messy Easter in Australia

This was a lovely Easter Season email to receive!
Hello Lucy and Jane,
Could not resist sending you the attached photos! What an amazing Messy Easter we had at St Matthew’s. Decided to have a Messy Good Friday as an extra with 65 in attendance and then our normal 3rd Sunday Messy Church fell on Easter Day and 140 men, women and children packed the church. We had catered for around 100 so we ran out of space and food and crafts! But no complaints and everyone really enjoyed Messy Easter. Two young women, once church goers but who had left the church, were heard to say that ‘Easter had come alive again for them through coming to Messy Easter’. The tears hanging in the church were started at our Messy Church in early Lent and continued to be made for the rest of Lent. Each strand has a prayer and the colours represented different prayer themes each Sunday. Our large cross outside the church was used again for our prayer activity – on Good Friday with red torn paper crosses with prayers – and on Easter Sunday with brightly coloured ‘Thank You’.
Thank you both for all you do for Messy Church!
May the name of Jesus be lifted high.
