Let’s go Dutch!

We’re delighted to announce that BRF has just finalised an agreement for JOP, the organisation behind Kliederkerk, to be the official ‘home’ for Messy Church in the Netherlands! We’ve known the Kliederkerk team for well over a year now and they are a total delight to work with, and great believers in cake, so we are all very happy. The work began with Martine and Jonna, whom many of you met at the Conference last year. They have have recently moved on, but the work is in the uber-capable hands of Nelleke Plomp, who is doing amazing work in establishing and encouraging Kliederkerk, the indigenised Dutch version of Messy Church across the Netherlands. She’s even going international from the word go, by working together with Andreas in next-door Germany.
We are truly grateful for JOP’s support in growing the network and for Nelleke’s dedication and we look forward to a very fruitful friendship in the years to come. Even (or should that be ‘especially’?) with Brexit looming. As you can see from the photo, I personally am very keen to extend my experiences of apple cake, buckets of cream and open-air cafes in beautiful Dutch towns. Happy sigh.
