Massive congratulations to our support team members: Tom Donohue and Hazel Winstanley, who both graduated with a MA in Mission, from Cliff College in association with the University of Manchester.
Aike joined them both on Cliff College graduation day on Saturday 4th November 2023. Despite the damp weather, and igloo-like temperatures inside the ‘Cathedral of the Peaks’ in Tideswell, it was a wonderful service of celebration, with worship, student testimonies and prize-giving. It was a good opportunity to reflect on a time of study and give thanks for lecturers and for all those who have supported students along the journey. Quietly sleeping throughout the service was Tom’s 12-day old son Jasper – huge congratulations Tom on your expanded family! After the service, it was back to Cliff College for a celebratory feast.
There to collect a Cliff College certificate in Contextual Theology, Aike writes, ‘Cliff College has always been a special place of theological study and formation. Graduation day is an important marker on the journey, but it’s not the final destination. I’m excited to see how Tom and Hazel, along with the other students, will use their research, knowledge, and connections to further God’s kingdom. To God be the glory.’
